Make Money at Home with the Cricut Explore Air
The Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting Machine is a cutting machine for scrapbooks, classroom decor, signage, and more. However, used the right way, it can also be a tool to help you succeed in making money at home. (Update 1/9/17…Amazon has the Cricut Explore Air for $191.97).
If you enjoy the hobby of scrapbooking (or even if you don’t but are interested in how a die cut machine can help you earn extra money), and long to turn this hobby into a money-making venture but not sure how to do it, look no further than to your Cricut Air Wireless Cutting machine and your own imagination.
Just grab a cup of coffee (regular please), eat some chocolate (that’s right, if you don’t know this already, these two things together will explode your creative brain juices) and start thinking of all the things you can make with your Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting Machine that people would pay money for.
Projects You Can Make with Your Cricut Machine
Vinyl sheets are so popular with a lot of Cricut projects. You can make vinyl signs for walls, in frames, and make fun sayings for tumblers, mugs and water bottles. In addition, you can use vinyl lettering for plastic storage bins, for monogramming so many different items like ring dishes, coasters, ornaments, cutting boards, cake carriers, decorative dishes, hats, pillows (using iron on vinyl)…and so much more!
The Cricut project ideas are endless with vinyl! You could even experiment with the patterned self adhesive decorative vinyl for projects such as homemade cards, picture frames and wall borders. Use decorative vinyl also for scrapbook layouts, invitations and kids projects.
Oh the things you could make with your Cricut and vinyl that you could sell at local craft shows, on eBay or Etsy!
Getting Crafting Ideas
There’s probably no better place than Pinterest for getting crafting ideas! You can check out my Cricut Explore Project Ideas Pintrest Board, for project ideas, or just put in your own search terms to see what you can come up with.
You can also check mega websites such as eBay and Etsy to find out what other sellers are charging for their die cut creations. You will want to price your items accordingly and it’s important to check out the marketplace for similar items before you start listing them for sale. You may find out that there is little profit to be made for a particular product, and not worth it for you to consider making.
You can also check your local gift shops to see if anyone else has similar items as to what you want to create with your Cricut Air machine–or just to see what items are selling there. Big card shops that have an extensive gift section can provide inspiration for your projects. Plus, if the items are selling there, then there’s a good shot there’s a market for those items.
If you decide to create similar items, think of ways you can make yours a little bit more unique. Let them reflect your own personal style; you don’t want to be a copycat. Perhaps you can even charge a bit more if you embellish your creations more than your competitor.
Also, your local craft shows are a great way to see if your items are popular. If they are popular offline, chances are, they will be popular online. Just remember, if you do decide to sell on eBay and/or Etsy, make sure you use the popular keywords to attract visitors to your auction or listing. It’s imperative that you get this part right. See what keywords others are using in their auctions or listings to attract buyers. You will want to use these same popular keyword phrases too.
The projects you can make with a Cricut Machine are pretty much endless. You are only limited by your imagination. Plus, with built-in bluetooth for wireless cutting with your PC, Mac, iPad or iPhone, you can design when you want, where you want!
Check with Family & Friends
Are you stuck for ideas? Just ask family members and friends to brainstorm with you. Make a list of all the things you could possibly make with your machine and sell for a profit. Don’t have a Cricut die cut machine yet? Check Amazon’s prices. They are almost always discounting these machines. My vote is for the Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting Machine. It’s got everything you need to start profiting from your craft now!
