It’s Saturday and I spent some time at Barnes & Noble today. Since it’s the beginning of a new year, they have designated a table near the business books section just for books about personal finance and investing, getting your ass out of debt, and how to make more money in the new year. Since one of the things I blog about is finding new ways to earn extra cash with real work from home jobs, I’m drawn to these books.
THE TELECOMMUTING JOBS PAGE
Today I found a website listed in the book, “Woman’s Day Living Fiscally Fit: 1,000 Ways to Get Out of Debt & Build Financial Wealth” in its’ Earn Extra Cash section of the Building Wealth chapter. The website listed was for The Telecommuting Jobs Page. This website lists openings at companies looking to hire home-based workers. Job categories include:
- Artists
- Web Designers
- Customer Service
- Desktop Publishers
- Data Entry
- Writers
- Sales
- Photography
- Other Skills
You pay $15 for a full year of access to the most important information like who is the hiring company for each open position. In addition, your fee allows you to take advantage of their online tools such as a Telecommuter Application Sharpener that helps you to use the right buzzwords and keywords to get your job application noticed.
HEO-HOME EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
I thought I would dig a little bit further into the whole telecommuting world, and came up with another website which I actually think looks more professional than The Telecommuting Jobs Page. It’s HEO-Home Employment Services. This website is more expensive at $39.95 for a three month membership, $49.95 for a six-month membership, and $69.95 for a 12-month membership.
HEO comes with an unconditional 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you don’t locate work within 6 weeks of joining, you’ll receive an additional 3 to 12 months for free. HEO touts that over 95% of their members have been contacted by an employer during their memberships. Most members that are interested in a variety of jobs, have flexible schedules and provide relevant work experience are able to receive results within a few weeks of joining.
Both of the above mentioned websites claim that they just include legitimate employers on their websites offering REAL work from home jobs to potential telecommuters and not “business opportunity” type jobs.
By the way, if you’re interested in another resource on telecommuting, check out the book, “Will Work from Home: Earn the Cash–Without the Commute.”
