I decided to write this post because I received an email from a Chinese exporter of Uggs boots.  He had a nice website that was filled with designer items.  I was interested in his Uggs and impressed with his prices.  Honestly, I don’t know how to tell the difference between real Uggs and replicas.  To me, they looked real.  The pictures were of Uggs with the Uggs authentic looking box and what looked to be a certificate of authenticity.  Then I clicked on his FAQ page.  That’s where it was stated that his designer items including the Uggs were indeed knockoffs.  Some of us know when we’re buying a fake Rolex watch or a Coach knockoff or fake Uggs.  In fact, we go searching for the fake version because after all….who will know?  And the price is hard to resist!
