If you’re a regular visitor of Amazon.com, then you probably already know about Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of The Day. This is where Amazon features one product at a highly discounted price (most times) that can only be bought at the advertised price for the day it’s featured for as long as the item doesn’t run out of stock.
Although there are many “Deal of The Day” websites out there such as Woot.com, Amazon’s is backed by that big, powerful, Amazon name where you know, that customer satisfaction comes first. Not only that, they offer free shipping on items over $25.
How do you know if you’re getting a good deal even if the product is a “Deal of The Day?” Amazon has the retail price or “list” price listed and then crossed out with the Deal of The Day
or “Gold Box” price listed. In addition, for all of us that don’t feel like figuring out the percentage off discount you’re receiving….they list that too.
If the price looks good but you want to see what others are saying about the product, you can click on comments to read about other’s experiences with the product. Next to “comments” is a five gold star rating system
. Obviously the more gold stars the product received, the better the product according to those that voted.
I not only like Amazon’s Deal of The Day for items that I may need or want, I personally use it for items that I may want to resell. I monitored the Deal of The Day
every day last year from Black Friday to right before Christmas. I bought several items that I ended up reselling either back on Amazon, eBay, or on Craigslist. These included wireless keyboards
, box DVD sets
, and GPS
systems among other things. However, before you decide to purchase Amazon’s Deal of The Day
items for resale, check out what they are going for on eBay or Amazon’s marketplace before buying for that specific reason.
Just to let you know, I did purchase Amazon’s Deal of The Day today. It’s an Apple iPod touch 16 GB (1st Generation)
at 50% off.
Hmmmm….Not sure if I’m keeping it or selling it.

I had wondered about Amazon.com’s Gold Box Deal of the Day, but they had always been out of my price range, but I may have to take another look.
