I started this blog to let others know how I make extra money each month by finding different ways to earn. I never set out to tell everyone about how I did it. I didn’t think anyone would be interested! But after I was asked on numerous occassions, “What are you doing now to make money?” I thought it would be fun to talk about. That was one year ago, and guess what? I’m still having fun talking about it!

So the other day, I had some extra time while my daughter was at dance class, to run to Barnes & Noble to see what new and interesting books were out regarding making extra income. You would be surprised at how many new books come out on this topic! Just when I think I’m not going to find anything different since the last time I perused the business shelves–I find a new book.

I actually walked away with four different books (OK, the truth be told, one of them was a book about the Phillies because I LOVE baseball and I LOVE the Phillies! GO PHILLIES! DO IT AGAIN IN 2009!). One of the books I purchased is called, “Put More Cash in Your Pocket: Turn What You Know into Dough” by Loral Langemeier.

I’ve read Loral Langemeier’s books before and I’ve never been disappointed.  This one however, is exactly the book I’ve been searching for.  Loral teaches in some of her other books about creating quick cash machines to help reduce debt, to help fund a business idea, or to save for retirement, but this book goes into detail about how to come up with the ideas for creating quick cash machines, and how to go about starting them.

I love what she says about people always cutting back their expenses when times get tough.  Things like, reducing your cable bill, eliminating subscriptions to magazines, cutting back on entertainment like dinners out…you know, things like that.  Loral explains that cutting out things we like makes our lives smaller.  Through her book, Loral helps her readers make their lives bigger.  In fact, with the process she shares…

What I especially liked about “Put More Cash in Your Pocket,”, was the fact that Loral uses four case studies throughout the book. They are composites of real clients (with names changed to protect the money makers). She walks her clients through all the steps needed in finding their quick cash machines.  For instance,  identifying  what they already know how to do, how to turn this knowledge into a money-making business, and how to get going in this business quickly in order to generate cash–fast!
