CAN YOU WORK AT HOME AS AN AFFILIATE MARKETER? OVERVIEW OF PART 1
If you missed Part I of “Can You Work At Home As An Affiliate Marketer,” then I suggest you go back and read that post so you can understand the process I’m following to see if it’s possible to be able to work at home as an affiliate marketer. Briefly, I’m following the “One Week Marketing” Plan created by “PotPieGirl” whose real name is Jennifer. She has developed a plan to promote affiliate products mainly using Squidoo.com and other free resources to drive traffic to your Squidoo articles or lenses as they’re called, and encourage people to click through to the affilate product(s) you are promoting (if you’re interested in learning about Squidoo, you can download her 50+ page, step-by-step instruction, “How To Squidoo Guide for FREE)
Like the title of her product, the plan is to take just one week. If you can create one campaign per week, 52 campaigns a year, perhaps just earning $10 per campaign per week, then that’s $520 per week and well, you get the picture. In all actuality, $10 per week from the sale of one affilate product is very reasonable considering most affilate product commissions pay out more than $10. What if you were to make just one sale per day for each of 52 campaigns? That’s $520 per DAY! Anyway….let’s not get ahead of ourselves (watch PotPieGirl’s system in action in the video below).
CAMPAIGN 1, DAY #3 OF PROMOTING A NATURAL TREATMENT TO CURE ACNE
I consider this Day #3 for me on my first campaign that revolves around a great natural acne treatment called, “Acne No More.” I wrote another lens at Squidoo.com for a total of 3 lenses so far. This third lens is titled, “What Causes Acne And How To Cure It Forever!” I promoted my RSS feed at two different places like PotPieGirl says to do in the “One Week Marketing” Plan, and I promoted this lens like the other ones at three different blogs suggested in the “One Week Marketing” Plan so that I could get some backlinks to my lenses. Writing about my lenses and including links to them here on MyMochaMoney.com, helps as well. I also included my “Best Natural Cure To Treat Acne” video that’s also inserted in the “Best Acne Treatment Found,” and “Finally A Natural Cure To Treat Acne” lenses.
STATS
As of this afternoon, my lenses have been looked at 11 times, and I have had 4 clickouts to the affiliate product I’m promoting. My traffic is coming from this blog, the other blogs I posted on per PotPieGirl’s suggestion in the “One Week Marketing” Plan, and Squidoo. Obviously, not a ton of traffic, however, my last lens, “What Causes Acne And How To Cure It Forever!,” has not been indexed by Google yet. Hopefully when it’s indexed by Google, I should see additional traffic.
PROMOTING MY SQUIDOO.COM LENSES
In addition, I found some other ways to promote my lenses. One of them is Lensroll.com. This is kind of the “Digg” for Squidoo lenses. I submitted two of my lenses to Lensroll. You are only allowed to submit two lenses per day, so I’ll have to submit the other one tomorrow.
What else did I do yesterday to promote my lenses? I joined some fan clubs on Squidoo, and commented on an article in ezinearticles.com. I happened to Google a particular “acne” search term, and the number one position was held by an ezinearticles.com article. I read the article and commented on it. I was the only person to comment on it. Ezinearticles has to approve my comment and I’m hoping they do. I included a link to my url promoting my affilate product (In Part I I told you that I bought www.bestacnetreatmentsite.com so I had a nice clean url and not one that looked like I was promoting an affilate product).
I still need to write three articles–one for each Squidoo lens I have so far–and submit them to ezinearticles.com for approval. I also need to write additional lenses for my acne campaign, and promote them.
